Slow Food: Cheaper is not always better

We’ve talked about eating locally and going back to basics before when it comes to food. But did you know that eating cheaper, processed food is bad for your health?

According to this animated infographic from Good.is, we’re now paying far less for our food then we did back in 1949, despite having a wider range of food to choose from. Unfortunately we’re also unhealthier.

In 1949, 22% of the average American income was spent on food. By 2009, it dropped to just 10%.

Have a watch of the video and let us know your thoughts.
