Slow Food international - 2010 Slow Food show in Stuttgart Slow Food international - 2010 Slow Food show in Stuttgart

Every year German Slow Food fans meet for a four-day exhibition and celebration of the movement in the southern German city of  Stuttgart. The ‘Markt des guten Geschmacks’  (market of good taste) attracts thousands of artisan food producers, organic farmers, wholesalers and Slow Food enthusiasts who come together to find out more about the Slow Food philosophy of good, clean and fair food.

Over 400 exhibitors will offer a wide range of products – fruits, vegetables, fish, fresh and cured meats, sausages, vinegar, oil, mustard, herbs, chocolate, bread, various beverages and much more – all having passed Slow Food Germany high-quality assessment.

In addition to taste workshops, there is also a program of dinner dates in the surrounding area, daily round table discussions on topic such as ‘The necessity of taking time in baking’ and the exhibition features live cheese making with special participating workshops for kids.

Healthy eating in playschools, schools and at home is another focus. Apart from seminars and workshops with experts there will be an ’Everyone can cook’ cooking competition for children.

While the trade fair centres around German and regional cuisine, Slow Food groups from Italy and the Czech Republic will also participate this year.
