Public Service Announcements (PSA) are commonplace in the USA, but it’s not often a celebrity steps up to get involved. Which is why it’s impressive that Jason Schwartzman, pint sized A-lister, has put his voice to the latest PSA from Plate to Planet.
Plate to Planet is a project that aims to raise the awareness for farm sanctuaries, and the impact eating meat can have on the environment.
The video follows a day in the life of Jason’s character, where he learns more about how his eating habits are affecting both the environment and potential the health of his family. The video diary ends with him choosing a meat-free dinner to serve up to his partner and kids, rather than the pack of mince he originally picked up from the supermarket.
The purpose of the video is to encourage us to eat less meat, or even cut it out altogether and go vegan. They’re particularly concerned about factory farms, and how badly livestock is contributing to green house gas emissions.
